I grew up on a farm and remember following butterflies around the paddock and collecting wanderer butterfly caterpillars. The three butterflies on this poster all occur in the northern rivers, the Meadow Argus butterfly, Richmond birdwing butterfly & a Blue Tiger butterfly.
The Richmond Birdwing is a beautiful large green butterfly that has experienced declining populations throughout its habitat. We had a permaculture garden at the primary school that I went too and our class got together and planted three vines for the Richmond Birdwing Butterfly.
I have been inspired by this since then and have been actively planting herbs and flowers that will attract butterflies and bees to our garden. It is such a joy to see them returning and fluttering around, and my goal to leave this special piece of paradise we call home in a much better state than when we found it.
Packaging & delivery
Prints are printed on quality archival matte long lasting paper using high quality archival ink. The print colour's are really vivid and beautiful.
All posters are printed by me in my home studio in the Northern Rivers. So totally handmade.
The print is a reproduction of my original hand painted watercolour artwork.
You can choose between these sizes:
- A5 (14.85 x 21 cm) /4.8" x 8.3"
- A4 (21 x 29.7 cm) / 8.3" x 11.7"
- A3 (29.7cm x42cm)/ 11.7"x16.5"
Your print will be sent in a protective cardboard mailing tube for A3, and a flat cardboard mailer for A4.
Posters will be packaged for maximum protection during shipping.
