About me

Hey, I'm Shantele, I live on a farm in northern NSW with my husband and two littlies.

I am a self taught illustrator and started painting again when my son Archie was born premature and in intensive care, as a way to get through a difficult start to becoming a mum.

This reignited my love of painting. I created my Australian animal alphabet poster for his nursery because I couldn't find anything else like it. Since then have added alot more animals and now native Australian plants to my collection of prints and cards.  

I am so inspired by our unique Australian animals. I have a background in environmental science & love sharing the beauty of the often overlooked insects as well as the more well known animals.

I love getting lost in a watercolour painting & hope that my art sparks a sense of wonder in our natural world and inspires little minds to connect to nature and celebrate their uniqueness.
